Phil Byrne

Phil has been shaping for 35 years and is considered one of the world’s premier craftsmen and surfboard designer. Over the years he has shaped boards for many of the world’s best surfers including 2 x World champion, Tom Carroll, and to this day has a strong working relationship with Tom. In recent years working with all members of the Byrne team and especially Phil MacDonald and is responsible for most of the core design work on all Byrne shapes.

One of Phil’s latest projects has been passing on his shaping skills to his son Parrish who after a great Pro-junior career is presently working his way up the WQS ratings.
